Read full description of the books Penelopijada: Mit o Penelopi i Odiseju (Mitovi):U Homerovoj Odiseji Penelopa – Odisejeva supruga i sestra lepe Helene Trojanske – oslikana je kao oličenje bračne vernosti. Njeno dvadesetogodišnje opiranje proscima koji je opsedaju na Itaki, dok Odisej u Troji ratuje, a potom luta morima, vekovni je primer snage ljubavi i vere.
Margaret Atvud u svom viđenju ovoga mita uglavnom govori glasom Penelope i hora njenih dvanaest sluškinja, problematizujući neke od Odisejevih (i Telemahovih) postupaka.
