Read full description of the books The Island of Ted:Would you give up everything you know to find paradise? That's the question facing movie producer, Ted LaSalle. After a string of personal tragedies, Ted decides to leave it all behind and purchase his own island off the Philippine coast to escape from the evil and violence in the world around him. With technology as his only companion, will Ted find what he's looking for, or will his past follow him to paradise? The Island of Ted is an inspirational and epic love story that will have you laughing through tears as you take a journey of adventure, tragedy and romance. Written by Nashville-based screenwriter, Jason Cunningham, The Island of Ted was a top 20 finalist in the Final Draft "Big Break" competition, beating out thousands of entries. At the behest of family and friends, Jason turned his screenplay into a novel in order to share the story of one man's quest to find peace in a troubled world.
Read information about the authorMy name is Jason and I'm a screenwriter and novelist. I'm a regular working stiff who grew up in Music City (Nashville, TN), studied film in college and married young (we're still married, but now I’m old). We have an adopted son named Andrew, because that’s my middle name, because my father named me after Andrew Jackson, because he wanted me to be President. Sorry, Pops.
Hobbies include Jiu-Jitsu, theology and pretentious discussions in coffee shops. I also enjoy dressing like an author (for the uninitiated, this is jeans and a sport coat -- in any weather) to impress my six fans. I’m a philosophical minimalist and pet peeves include clutter, misusing the word “literally” and owning cats that can’t do tricks (you know who you are!).
Favorite authors are currently George Orwell, John Green and Hugh Howey (this changes frequently).
I'm currently working on a post-apocalyptic novel set a hundred years into the future called Westside Saga and culling together an academic work, tentatively titled God and the Skeptic: A Rational Inquiry, which I hope to keep under 1,000 pages.
Favorite quote: “Suspense comes from anticipation that’s mixed with uncertainty.”
